Creation of Museum Takes a Step Closer to Reality

After much planning our British Railways MK1 TSO 'S3924' has been transfered out of our siding to the rear of the coal dock as a static exhibit for eventual conversion to a museum and educational space. This has been the culmination of many months of work preparing for this move as well as a great deal of work throughout the week to lay the temporary track in the carpark to allow the transfer of this vehicle.

This move marks the first step towards enabling us to open up this area to the public to provide an opportunity to learn about the history of industry and transportation within the Torridge Valley through the creation of a musuem area containing both indoor and outdoor exhibits allowing visitors to get up close and personal with some of our items of rolling stock as well as other items within our collection that help to document the vast history of the area.
